portable flue gas analyzer detects and observes the composition level of the flue gas to determine if the mixture of air and fuel is at the right ratio for maximum heat output. It helps measure the concentration of gases in the emissions of gases from the appliances used in households like boilers, furnaces, fireplaces, etc.  Let’s see some types of sensors used in flue gas analyzers and check out the best among them.

What are some best types of sensors used in flue gas analyzers?

There are two prominent types of sensors used in a flue gas analyzer for measuring flue gases, they are as follows:

Electrochemical sensors and infrared sensors

Electrochemical sensors are primarily used to measure oxygen, carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, and nitrogen dioxide concentrations. Whereas infrared sensors are used to measure the concentration of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and carbon monoxide.
