How do digital thermometers show temperature without mercury

Image
D igital thermometers are best known for their faster results than mercury thermometers, which take time to show readings as you have to wait for the mercury to heat and then slowly rise to display the temperature. Digital thermometers use metal components and advanced technology to provide quick results. Metal has natural heat resistance. It is a temperature measuring device that uses an electronic circuit . It works similar to other thermometers, wherein the captured information is sent to a microchip that processes it and displays the reading in numerical form on the digital display screen.

What are the applications of a lux meter ?

Image
Luxmeter is the device that helps with measuring illuminance and light distribution. Luxmeter is thus a brilliantly designed device that measures the brightness and uses the unit lux. Good light conditions are essential so that the eyes can carry out visual tasks effortlessly and reliably and avoid harm to health and hazards. Lux meters are equipped with a data logger or, in simple terms, an internal memory that records and saves the reading. With the help of a lux meter light measurement, you can ensure optimum interior light conditions.  It is used in several applications to measure routine light fluctuations.  It helps to measure light distribution in exhibitions, labs, and museums. It measures the uniformity of illuminance, that is, the light falling on a particular surface of an area.  It is used in public libraries and PC workstations It is used in assembly shops and operation theatres

What Happens When Cooking Oil is Reheated

Image
When cooking oil is reheated, it starts separating before bubbling, and at extreme heat levels, it will give out smoke. But they won't undergo any chemical change until you drop food items for deep frying or sauteing etc. When you deep fry food, a dehydration process starts. The water & water-soluble substances get extracted from the food and are transferred to the cooking oil. Oils then undergo chemical changes, and thus various degradation substances called total polar materials (TPM) are produced in the oil due to these actions. Repetitive heating contaminates the oil and harms your health adversely. Using a digital cooking oil tester to check the TPM levels and discarding contaminated oil immediately can reduce this risk.
