Infrared thermometer enables the user to carry out efficient and non contact temperature measurement of any body. Fitted with precise sensor, this temperature gun captures the IR rays emitted by a body and the readings are displayed on the instrument screen in °C or °F. Also there are different types/grades of IR thermometers like industrial and medical grade. Medical thermometers are used for fever detection and body temperature measurement. The instrument is aimed at the forehead of the person and the temperature gets recorded in the intruments. Some, IR guns also have option laser pointer which is used to mark the area of measurement.
